Dr Khairul Anwar Ismail (Kai) is an experienced Consultant Paediatrician based in Flagstone, Logan region. A Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics and Child Health), Dr Kai combines expert knowledge with a warm, compassionate approach to caring for children and their families.
He completed his medical training at Melbourne University and specialised in general paediatrics through the Gold Coast University Hospital, Queensland Children’s Hospital, and regional hospitals across Queensland and northern New South Wales. He also gained extra experience in developmental paediatrics, acute care, and neonatology, giving him a broad understanding of paediatric care in both metropolitan and rural settings.
With this extensive training, Dr Kai provides comprehensive, personalised, and family-centred care, guiding children and their families through every stage of growth and development with expertise, kindness, and reassurance.

EDUCATION AND RESEARCH
Kai has a strong interest in research and education. He holds the title of Honorary Adjunct Senior Lecturer and Academic Lecturer at Bond and Griffith University. He has also been actively involved in clinical research at the Royal Children’s Hospital and Murdoch Children’s Research Institute in Melbourne.
